How we handle your data on MLBBHub
We use localStorage to keep limited browsing state (such as your recently-viewed heroes) on your device across visits. Nothing in localStorage is sent to our servers.
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data, including page views, feature usage, device type, and browser information. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors. No personally identifiable information is collected directly by MLBBHub.
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the site through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Clarity may collect clicks, scrolls, page rendering data, device and browser information, and similar usage signals. Sensitive content is masked by default by Microsoft Clarity.
Browsing MLBBHub does not require an account. Submitting a community build is optional and uses Google sign-in; if you choose to do that, we collect the limited Google profile data described in the "Accounts and Community Builds" section below. Apart from that optional feature, we do not collect names, email addresses, or other personal data through the site.
Browsing the site stays anonymous and needs no account. The Community Builds feature is optional: to submit your own builds you sign in with Google. When you do, MLBBHub receives and stores limited Google profile information so we can sign you in and credit your builds.
What we store: your Google display name, email address, and avatar image URL, along with the builds, likes, and reports you create. We do not receive or store your Google password. Your email identifies your account and is not shown publicly; your display name and avatar appear as the byline on builds you publish.
Why and where: this data is used to provide sign-in, authorship, moderation, and abuse prevention for community builds. Accounts and builds are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, our backend provider, which acts as a data processor on our behalf.
Retention:we keep your account data for as long as your account exists. Published builds you submit may be retained after you delete your account in anonymized form (with the author shown as "[deleted]"), because an anonymized build no longer identifies you.
Deleting your data: you can permanently delete your account at any time from your account page. This deletes your profile (display name and avatar), your pending and rejected builds, and your likes, and unlinks your Google sign-in; your published builds are kept but anonymized. You can also email us at the address in the Contact section to request deletion.
Analytics data is used to improve the user experience. For example, understanding which heroes and guides are most popular helps us prioritize content and deliver a better browsing experience.
Local browsing state: MLBBHub uses localStorage (a browser-based storage mechanism) to remember non-personal browsing state, such as your recently-viewed heroes. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to our servers, and is not used for tracking.
Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors and track anonymous usage patterns. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information.
Behavior analytics cookies: Microsoft Clarity may set cookies such as _clck and _clsk to connect page views into sessions and generate aggregate behavioral analytics.
You can clear all site data through your browser settings, or use a browser extension to block analytics scripts.
We use Google Analytics 4 to gather anonymous usage data. This service processes data on Google's servers. Analytics data is used solely to improve site content, feature prioritization, and user experience. You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's partner policy page.
We use Microsoft Clarity to capture behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay so we can improve site usability and content. Microsoft processes this information as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
MLBBHub uses Google Analytics 4 which collects anonymous, aggregated usage data. We do not collect or process personally identifiable information. Analytics data is processed under legitimate interest for the purpose of improving site content and user experience.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete any personal data we hold about you. You also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing of your data.
You may opt out of analytics tracking at any time by using a browser extension such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser settings.
To exercise any of these rights or to make a data-related request, please contact us at slendertaker@icloud.com.
MLBBHub is not directed at children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. This also aligns with Microsoft Clarity's usage requirements.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information as promptly as possible.
Parents or guardians who believe that their child may have provided personal information to us can contact us at slendertaker@icloud.com to request review and deletion of such data.
Unless you create an optional Community Builds account, no personal data is stored on our servers. Anonymous browsing state (such as your recently-viewed heroes) is stored locally in your browser.
If you do create a Community Builds account, your account data is stored as described in "Accounts and Community Builds" and is deleted when you delete your account.
Anonymous analytics data is retained only for as long as necessary to identify usage trends and improve the site.
You can clear your localStorage and all site cookies at any time via your browser's settings or developer tools.
You may opt out of analytics by using a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts, or by enabling your browser's Do Not Track setting.
If you have not signed in to submit a community build, MLBBHub holds no account or profile for you and your browsing is anonymous to us. If you have created a Community Builds account, you can delete it and your personal data at any time from your account page.
If you have questions or concerns about this privacy policy, you can reach us at slendertaker@icloud.com.
